Can People Have Hope Today?
Your Gift of Salvation
1. The power of God can make us eternally secure.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power
of God for salvation to everyone who believes,
to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16
2. The power of God can bring about a change in our lives.
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and
forbearance and patience, not knowing that the
kindness of God leads you to repentance
Romans 2:4
3. Sin in our lives makes a change necessary.
For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
4. Even though we have sinned against God, He still loves us.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in
that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
5. The consequence of our sin is death, but God offers
eternal life in heaven with Him.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift
of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
6. We must confess to God that we have sinned, repent,
(which means to turn away from our sins), believing
that Jesus is God's Son, who was raised from the
dead, and call on Him to save us.
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord,
and believe in your heart that God raised Him from
the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man
believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the
mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
A Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I know that Jesus is Your Son and that
He died on the cross and was raised from the dead.
Because I have sinned and need forgiveness, I ask
Jesus to come into my life. I am willing to change
the direction of my life by acknowledging Jesus as
my Savior and Lord, and by turning away from
my sins. Thank you for giving me forgiveness,
eternal life, and hope. In Jesus name, Amen.
If you have said this prayer with sincerity
in your heart to God, you now have hope!
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
Romans 8:16
