The WKND FAQ 2023

1. What is THE WKND? 

  • THE WKND is a weekend geared to help students grow closer in their walk with Jesus. It is like a retreat without leaving Lake City. 

2. What is the cost for my student  to attend THE WKND?

  • $50

3. What do the students receive?

  • T-shirt, small group bible study book, 30 day devotional for after THE WKND, 3 meals

4. What will the students be doing that weekend?

  • Worship, small group bible study, and mission projects

5. Where will students stay?

  • Students will either stay in host homes or in their own homes.

6. Do the students have to stay in host homes?

  • No, students can stay in their own homes. 

7. How do I sign up?

8. How do I pay for this event?

  • You will be given the option to pay at the time of registration through Realm via debit/credit card.

  • You can also make a payment by clicking on the “Give“ icon on our church website. Make sure you change the fund to “WKND” to ensure your payment does not get confused with general tithes and offering.

  • You can also make a payment in person by paying check or cash during our normal office hours Monday-Thursday 9AM-4PM (call 386-752-4135 before arrival to make sure staff will be present)

9. What is the schedule?

Friday, February 24

  • 6 - Registration 

    • Pizza, games, etc…

  • 6:30 PM - Worship

  • 7:45 PM - Small group

  • 8:45 PM - Depart to host home 

  • 11 PM - Lights out 

Saturday, February 25

  • 8 AM - Breakfast

  • 8:45 AM - Depart to Hopeful

  • 9:15 AM - Small Group Bible study

  • 10:15 AM - Worship

  • 11:30 AM - Lunch at Hopeful

  • 12:30 PM - Mission sites

  • 4 PM - Worship

  • 5 PM - Small Groups

  • 5:45 PM - Dinner

  • 6:15 PM - Depart to bonfire at Sparks’ Home

  • 8:15 PM - Depart to host home

  • 11 PM - Lights out

Sunday, February 26 

(Wear Hopeful Baptist Student Ministry shirt) 

  • 9:15 AM - Breakfast in student building at Hopeful Baptist 

  • 9:45 AM - Small group in Sunday school at Hopeful Baptist 

  • 10:45 AM - Worship
